There are no online classes or webinars for the micro-credential courses. Course content is released on a weekly basis allowing you to work through the course material, and meet weekly targets, at a time that suits you.
There are no online classes for most of our short courses, however the Coaching Skills for Managers short course has weekly online interactive classes. Class attendance is required as the short course is delivered online by a management expert.
CPD workshops are offered on demand and with a live session, allowing participants to choose which format they prefer.
The micro-credential courses have graded formative online activities. There is a summative assessment at the end of each course, which is graded by our academic team. An overall course grade of 50% is required in order to pass and receive a digital certificate.
The on-demand short courses have no graded assessment. Learners are required to complete 100% of the course content in order to pass and receive a digital certificate.
The Coaching Skills for Managers short course has weekly questionnaires which count towards a learner’s graded assessment.
The CPD workshops have an online journal article and a multiple-choice questionnaire. Learners are required to complete 75% of the course content and an overall grade of 50% is required in order to pass and receive a digital certificate.
Unfortunately, if we don’t receive the work by the given deadline it can’t be graded. This means you will not receive a certificate nor badge for the course.
Our short courses, workshops and micro-credentials are delivered 100% online and are self-directed by learners. Courses are designed for self-study, allowing learners to upskill online while guiding themselves through robust academic content and online learning activities.
All courses and workshops are delivered 100% online for self-study.
1) Micro-credential courses: The online micro-credential courses have set start and end dates and offer learners the opportunity to upskill online with peers. Course content is released on a weekly basis and learners need to complete their weekly learning activities and deliverables in their own time during that particular week. Micro-credential courses are designed for self-study, where learners guide themselves through course materials and online learning activities. Groups of learners move through the course content at the same time and the social learning environment allows for peer engagement and interactive learning experiences. The micro-credentials are assessed, and digital certificates are issued to learners who successfully complete the courses.
2) Short courses: The online short courses are non-assessed and self-paced, allowing learners to upskill on their own at any time. The short course access is linked to the class period they select upon registration. Learners will have three months to move through the short course content and online learning activities. Learners who successfully complete an online short course will receive a non-credit bearing digital certificate of completion.
The Coaching Skills for Managers short course is the only course that is not self-paced and requires learners to attend weekly webinar sessions at a set time. This management short course is offered online by a management expert and it’s the only course that is facilitated online.
3) Workshops: SACAP Global offers online workshops and Continuing Professional development (CPD) workshops. The CPD workshops each have a live online session which is hosted on a specific date, after which the workshop is offered on-demand. During the live online session, the workshop speaker presents on the topic and facilitates questions and answers. After the live session, participants are required to read an online journal article and complete an accompanying multiple-choice questionnaire. The on-demand format allows participants to register at any time watch the live workshop recording and complete the online journal articles and multiple-choice questionnaire within 5 days. Both live online session and on-demand CPD workshop formats are approved by the Health Professionals Council of South Africa and carry HPCSA continuing education units (CPD points). Learners that successfully complete an online workshop and/or CPD workshop receive a non-credit bearing electronic certificate of completion.
Our goal is to make upskilling accessible to learners across the globe.

SACAP Global’s micro-credentials are designed to be equivalent to components of the Bachelor of Applied Social Science Degree and the Bachelor of Psychology.
This means you can complete specific sets of micro-credential courses, and they can be recognised as equivalent to modules within degree programmes at SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology). Kindly note that you would need to meet the minimum entry requirements and successfully be accepted into the programme before you may apply for module exemption. For more information contact us via https://global.sacap.edu.za/contact.
Our short courses and micro-credentials are non-credit bearing and are not on their own sufficient for entry into SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) degree programmes or credit-bearing qualifications.
For those who meet minimum entrance requirements, module exemption via RPL (recognition of prior learning) is possible for a specific combination of SACAP Global micro-credentials.

Upon successful completion of an OpenCred micro-credential you will receive a digital certificate and badge, which can be shared to 100+ social media platforms.
A credential is evidence of a skillset that a person has demonstrated, which in turn inspires confidence in their capabilities. You can informally upskill through watching videos on YouTube for example, but that doesn’t give you anything concrete to add to our CV.
